  • HeartCode BLS online portion, which has the online student manual

 Who should take this course?
This BLS course is a full course designed for those who work in the healthcare field, such as nurses, traveling nurses, nursing students, dentists, pre-med students, pharmacists, and EMTs.  
 
What the class covers:
• High-quality BLS for adults, children, and infants
• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilation using a barrier device
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants
• High-performance teams
 
 This course teaches basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings, with a focus on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics. The BLS Provider Course teaches rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants.
 
What the student will receive: 
You will receive a full AHA BLS Provider certification, which is valid for two years.

This class format is OSHA, University, Government, Healthcare Recruiter, and Workplace Compliant.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

Who should take this course? 
This course is designed for those who have already purchased or plan to purchase the 2020 HeartCode BLS online course. This is the skills check-off only to complete your certification. If you have NOT purchased the 2020 HeartCode BLS online portion or do not plan to on your own, please register for the AHA BLS Provider class. That class includes the online HeartCode portion.

What the Students Receive: 
You will receive an AHA BLS Provider card valid for two years.

This BLS course is designed toward those who work in the healthcare field, such as nurses or nursing students, dentist, pharmacists, and EMTs. Although, anyone may take this course. Topics covered will be geared toward those in a healthcare environment and includes situations for adults, children and infants which include the following:

  • Chain of survival
  • BLS for adults
  • The framework for CPR
  • High-Performance Rescue Teams
  • Main Components of CPR
  • Adult BLS Algorithm for Healthcare Providers
  • CPR techniques, including how to use a pocket mask and bag-mask device
  • 2 rescuer BLS
  • Team dynamics
  • BLS for children and infants
  • AED use for adults, children and infants
  • Opioid treatment
  • Choking relief for adults, children and infants

You will receive an American Heart Association certification valid for two years. You will receive an email from the American Heart Association with your certificate.

This course is NOT designed for those needing a " BLS Healthcare Provider Certification."

  • Your AHA Heartsaver CPR AED card

Who should take this course? 

The AHA's Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course covers Adult topics. Child and infant topics are optional. This does NOT include first aid topics.
 
This class covers the following:
  • How to give high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explains the concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • How to recognize when someone needs CPR
  • How to perform high-quality CPR for an adult
  • How to perform CPR with help from others
  • How to give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
  • How to use an AED on an adult

What the student will receive:
An AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED card vaild for 2 years.

Please Note:
This course is NOT designed for those needing a " BLS Healthcare Provider Certification."
 
This class format is OSHA, Government, and Workplace Compliant, with the same certification as an in-person classroom.
 
Includes:
  • Heartsaver Total First Aid CPR AED online portion, which has the online student manual
  • Your AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED card.
  
Who should take this course?
This course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. 
 
This class covers the following:
  • First aid basics
  • Medical emergencies
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Child and Infant CPR and AED use (Optional)
  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

What the student will receive:
An AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED card vaild for 2 years.
